I believe 2026 will be year of defeating authoritarianism. In Hungary there’s a good chance Orban will finally be voted out, Democrats might win big in the midterms, I’m seeing initial signs that the UK will reverse Brexit or move towards that direction but for these kinds of things to happen it’s going to take good people willing to fight and win instead of the bad people.

What I’ve learned is activism is the cure for doom scrolling and worrying. Just focus on something you believe in and fight for it, you’ll feel so much better. For me I’m passionate about trying to get people to boycott Twitter and other companies that support Trump, I just focus on that and know I’m doing what I can to make things better.
