Oh absolutely. He can pull himself up by his velcro straps and make his business work without government subsidies for once in his life.
That being said I don’t have any faith in our government to actually improve anything for general americans when it comes to internet access. Even if the federal government somehow did everything right the states would find a way to regulate and fuck it up.
Remember when our government spent billions of our taxes on getting high speed internet out to as many Americans as possible? Remember how literally nothing happened and they just shrugged when we asked where the money went?
This was during the Obama years too if memory serves correctly.
It doesn’t matter what they decide to do. The money will magically vanish and we will all get left holding the bag once more.
The fashion industry and the automotive industry are far and away the largest contributors to global microplastics. I’m not even sure if 3d printing people crack the top 100.
The majority of the 3d printed slop people see around is printed in PLA because it’s the cheapest and easiest to print typically. PLA will completely degrade in a few months in the correct conditions. At worst it will still break down after a few hundred years.
The more expensive and chemically complex filaments are a different story. The good news is that most people only print “useful” things with those more expensive materials. I have never seen anyone printing a Pikachu toothpaste poop dispenser out of carbon fiber reinforced nylon filament.
Of all the things to be worried about in terms of micro plastics 3d printing really shouldn’t bother you. There are many MANY much larger fish to fry in that department first.
Man… My parents used to kick us outta the house in the morning. They would tell us we could come back inside for lunch around noon but then we had to leave again. We would bike around and get into all kind of shenanigans. Call them from a payphone and instead of saying our name for the call we would just tell them where we were super fast and then they would hear that and decline the call lmao.
As long as we came home before the sun went down or we called them from a friend’s house to get approval for a sleep over they didn’t really care what we did all day. Good times.
