Many a years past. I met this cool chick on reddit. We got on well pretty much immediately. We were both similar age, gender, and both students and had recently moved to the same city for said schooling. So we didn’t’t know anyone else.

On our first time out together we went to the local mall. Had some lunch, showed each other our worst tattoos. Girl stuff.

But yeah the bathroom at the mall was being renovated. It had two toilets but no partition (I don’t have the original image but it was similar to the one I posted).

It was definitely a bonding moment. Both of us had a good laugh about it. Remained a inside joke for years.

We remained close friends for 4 years until we both moved. Stayed in touch regularly until she passed away a few years ago.

But toilets always remind me of our first friend-date. Tbf a lot of things remind me of her humor and general good vibes she always gave.

    Miss you hot-Sarah.

Anyway. Toilet dates aren’t just for romantic or sexy times but for friend dates too.

    Remember that.

    As a gay man… lol.

Context: There is a long history of gay men using public toilets for… making new friends.

My wife and I are a couple of old SNL nerds who both fondly remember watching this episode when it first broadcast. We often joke that if we ended up filthy rich somehow we’d get a real one of these made for us.
