It won’t do phone calls or SMS but otherwise sure why not. Just call/msg with matrix or discord

My phone is IP68 and you can replace the battery. Does require removing some screws to get the case off but I think that would pretty much be required to waterproof it anyway.

I think my CatB40 dumb phone does tethering, a flip phone would look cooler though. What are some good ones to look for? But as I occasionally have it in a pouch for kayaking it might not be the most useful to have a flip phone as you can’t really open it when its sealed. But if cheap enough I could always swap a SIM between a few.

Not completely true. Children get free care through the NHS. So do some other groups of people, often people on benefits can but not all benefits IIRC. NHS dentist availability is a growing issue here too.
