    people, especially poor desperate people, immediately go to shit in a crisis

    Your complete misquote of my statement doesn’t aid in your argument at all. It makes you look like mainstream news misquoting everyone for clicks.

    If you choose to extrapolate meaning and paraphrase my statement that’s fine. But you misquoted it, added words, didn’t provide much of a counterpoint and you don’t even want to see me jack of a stuffed tiger, so rude.

    It only takes one person to be so fucking desperate for their beans they end someone’s life over it. That life isn’t going to be from the rich class, its gonna be some grandma who got shoved out of the way for the can.

    If you want to put society in a situation where every day people have to fear for their lives grocery “shopping” or struggle to get food and their life saving meds because all the pharmas left town than you are no better than the rich assholes who watch us struggle while wiping their asses with 3ply hundred dollar bills.

  • “among ourselves” is the all poor people fighting over the now limited food supply that your raids caused. If you think everyone is going to peacefully work together to properly ration that shit out, you’re nuts.

    The rich will be laughing from their mansions with food shipped directly to their mouth.

  • Yes, but that will just end in violence among ourselves fighting for the last can of beans. I’m all for sticking it to big corp, but innocent people can’t get hurt in the crossfire.

    Forcing a store to close only make the underpaid staff jobless. The execs can go open up shop somewhere else, or have enough of a financial cushion to not give a fuck and retire.

  • I agree, in principle vigilantism isn’t good for society. It opens the door for, let’s say heavily misguided, people to carry out whatever justice they want. Yes, it is also dangerous for the individuals with good intentions.

    However, if the “proper” system does nothing, who will?

    In the case of Roblox, I’m going to compare this to a public park;

    In this park some adults set up a free candy van for kids. The park rangers/owners (moderators) see this, and choose to ignore it. Some other people at the park report their concerns to the rangers, yet a week later they find 3 more vans have shown up.

    Finally, one person steps up and calls the police directly. The police can do nothing with the information, as there’s “no evidence”. Desperate to stop them, the person disguises them self as a child (don’t ask) to get the evidence. Police show up and apprehend the perpetrators.

    The rangers are now angry that the person called the cops to their park, and bans that person from the park for “pretending to be a kid”.

    If Roblox is unwilling to participate in the justice system set by society, they have no place in it.

    As for schelps making YT videos, I say keep doing it. Not only does is help spread awareness to issues like this, it documents the “vigilante” actions. Society can decide from there what to do with that information.
