You can still play. Just only a few notes.

I could see this. I’ve had motherboards reboot from static affecting the USB ports. Could be a power button or similar that sends the shock straight to the board.
Reminds me of this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Graham
No thanks
This is ridiculous — No one uses em-dashes anymore
Well shoot. Why wasn’t this the case from the start? I’ve only ever had troubles with payments a few times in the 10 years I’ve been renting. Good thing none of that counts for anything and the clock is just now starting.
The fact that you’re not already down this hole is a good indicator that voice is already doing its job. Just keep listening to it.

So does LibreOffice, but they’ve been called out multiple times for purposefully making the format overly complex to make it as hard as possible to reliable read and write to it.

Yeah. The whole reason the Amanda Knox series happened is because Monika Lewinsky has been starting this documentary series where she tries to help victims in situations where publicity ruined their image and give them a chance to tell their story.
What a fantastic way to turn an image around.
Could probably still start a fire, though.

LLMs are no different. If it’s your gut reaction to go to an LLM with a critical thinking challenge first, you’ve already lost. Semantic mirror is a great description. It’s similar to writing information you already know down as notes. You’re giving your brain a new way to review and interpret the information. If you weren’t capable of solving the problem traditionally, but just with more time, I’d have to imagine it’s unlikely the LLM will bridge that gap.
I think about this whenever I pick up a spider or similar on my car. I’m transporting them the equivalent of entire planets beyond their perspective. What new world will I bring them to?

If you’re making docs for yourself, I’d say it’s pretty much a 100% replacement. Things can get a bit more fucky if you’re having exchanges where you edit with Libre and someone else edits with Word. But other than that, they’re pretty darn close.
Oh neat! Didn’t know this was a thing. Not something I need, but glad to know it exists.
I’d be surprised if it was anything other than the cheap mechanisms everything else gets. There’s very few companies manufacturing them and Techmoan is always on top of modern cassette systems and hasn’t brought it up. I could always be wrong, though.
I have only one computer left running Windows and it’s getting the axe this month. While I’ve used Linux for many years as my primary OS, there are unfortunately some things that just don’t work well under Linux still.
I’m a sucker for bleeding edge graphics and I have a feeling this is where it will affect me the most. I’ve not had luck in the past with the most fancy features working, so it’ll probably be a bit of a learning curve to get used to no longer having that access.
All that being said, every other part of the experience will be an improvement, so I’m not that upset about it.
