        In his defence, it could have been good if it was a TV show or something. It just didnt work in webcomic form. Plenty of comedy shows have tried (and succeeded) to turn the sad on out of nowhere and suckerpunch the audience.

          His audienthe mce already had a habit of trolling him. I remember the forums being particularly toxic. People fucking hated Tim Buckley well before he made a 4 panel comic about a miscarriage.

            I didn’t mind Buckley’s art, but I was one of the people who bitched about B^U. Not on the forums tho, that shit was nuclear waste levels of toxic like you said.

        I mean, Ethan found out Lilah was pregnant several weeks earlier. You don’t get a lot of warning for a miscarriage.

          I know, I’ve been there. But a comic isn’t a baby, and it gets published on your schedule. I completely understand needing to process, but it’s no surprise it’s become a meme with the way it was presented.
